RYECROFT ROAD in Catford SE13

RYECROFT ROAD

The project involved a complete refurbishment of two houses - End of terrace and Mid of terrace properties. Each one of the main roofs required the old timber roof structure to be removed. Both extension roofs also needed some timber repairs.

All roofs needed to be completely stripped, which involved stripping off the old interlocking tiles along with the battens and the bituminous felt. The timber structure then was removed and disposed responsibly. We set up a new roof structure - building up trusses and dormer, followed by laying out of quilted insulation, setting out eaves protection strip, breathable membrane, and battens and laying out artificial slates.  We used a Uni-Vent Rapid Ridge System® to provide secure and weatherproof fixing for the ridge and hip tiles - a modern and effective approach to ensuring secure fixing for the ridge and hip tiles. Fitting new fascias and guttering, re-pointing all chimneys and undertook lead work all around – apron and step flashing, lead work to bay window.
